STOCK WATCH: Fast-Glance Week in Review
Oct. 22, 2007 | Dick's Stock Watch provides a fast-glance review of the past week in the world of sports, charting whose stock is up and whose is down.
STOCK UP
• The Red Sox bats exploded in Games 6 and 7 in a comeback from a 3-1 series deficit to beat the Indians. The Rockies made it to the World Series with a sweep of the Diamondbacks.
• Rob Bironas of the Tennessee Titans set an NFL record with eight field goals in a wild win over Houston.
• Tom Brady threw six touchdown passes vs. the Dolphins.
• Tim Tebow had a big game, leading Florida past Kentucky.
• Ohio State remained unbeaten with a win over Michigan State.
• David Nalbandian upset Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer to win the tennis tournament in Madrid.
STOCK DOWN
• The Yankees handling of the Joe Torre situation was disappointing to me.
• Louisville football has really struggled, losing at Connecticut in the latest setback.
• Mavs forward Josh Howard was suspended for two regular-season games for shoving Sacramento's Brad Miller from behind during a pre-season game. That was not good judgment by the former Wake Forest star.
• South Carolina was upset at home by Vanderbilt.
• The Rams and Dolphins remained winless.
